Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
We realise that Grants' business does not
exist in isolation, simply as a way of making money. We acknowledge that many people depend upon
our business being a success. Employees, customers, suppliers and the local and
wider public are all affected by what we do and how we do it.
Our services and the way we provide them are of key importance.
Our approach to CSR isn't about mounting an expensive PR exercise or being "right on", it simply means that Grants staff take a responsible attitude and follow straightforward principles in areas that apply to our business.
- Grants monitors how it treats it employees. For us this means more than simply complying with minimum employment law, but its about building firm relationships with employees, offering them an exciting career path in return for a fair employment package.
- Responsible dealing with only approved suppliers.
We accept that customers want to do business with companies that they can respect and Grants sees CSR as part of a continuing process of building long-term added value for its customers.
Charities & Fundraising
Each year, Grants employees select a charity with a strong local connection to become our Charity of the Year.
This becomes the main focus for staff fundraising and receives an additional ‘top-up' from Grants at the end of the year.
In addition to this, Grants supports many regional events and shows through advertising and sponsorship of classes. Recent sponsorship has been given to several regional show jumping events and classes, together with prizes offered for social fundraising events within the York community.
